PR and media relations for Bazaar Spices’ new Atlantic Plumbing Building location

The Challenge

Locally owned and operated Bazaar Spices originally hired us to garner media attention for their new award-winning spice shop in the Atlantic Plumbing Building in Washington, DC. Given the very specialized nature of a spice shop, we had to get creative to appeal to a variety of media outlets.

The Solution

We crafted customized, highly personalized story pitches and angles for each outlet we targeted, appealing to bloggers, foodies, mixologists, health journalists, and casual lifestyle journalists. We also coordinated and hosted a media VIP launch party, which allowed media insiders an exclusive first look into the new space as well as an opportunity to chat with the owners about the exciting happenings on the horizon for the business. In addition to an array of spice samples, the launch party featured gourmet small bites from other local shops and eateries.


The Results

We created buzz about Bazaar Spices’ new location with TV, radio, print, and online coverage, including with Washington Blade, Hungry Lobbyist, Good Morning Washington, WTOP, National Geographic, Daily Meal, and Brightest Young Things. After the hugely successful media VIP launch party, we were hired to continue providing PR and media relations services for Bazaar Spices’ growing business.
