Last week’s hugely successful launch party for Heirloom Catering and Event Design at the Loft at 600 F Street was the culmination of months of hard work on the brand, the messaging, and the concept. We’ve been working with founder and creative director Vicky Theodorou since a serendipitous introduction and meeting at La Columbe Coffee last summer. It’s been an incredible journey and we are so proud of Vicky and her team for the company they have created. Here’s just a sampling of some of the recent media buzz about Heirloom.
“When a catering company throws its own party, you know the food’s got to be good. But when we arrived at last Thursday’s launch party for Falls Church-based Heirloom Catering and Event Design, the food wasn’t the only thing on display.
It’s no accident that Heirloom owner Vicky Theodorou chose a space with exposed-brick walls, huge windows, industrial-style lighting and old plank floors (the Loft at 600 F in downtown D.C.) to show off her company’s canapés and cocktails. The twinkly, shabby-chic setting provided just the right backdrop…”

“The Loft at 600 F was abuzz last Thursday as a young, stylish crowd oohed, aahed and ate their way through the official launch party for Heirloom Catering + Event Design, a company that specializes in weddings, social celebrations and corporate events.
Founder Vicky Theodorou teamed up with some of Washington’s best local artisans to showcase their seasonal bites, stylish tablescapes and custom design services….”

“The décor was stylish, the music upbeat, and the bite-size nibbles and drinks flowed continuously for most of the night. Last night’s successful Heirloom Catering and Event Design launch party was held at the trendy The Loft at 600 F and featured a whimsical, yet artistic theme. The party had a good turnout, with writers, bloggers, fellow event planners, and PR reps making up the majority of the guest list.
There was a sampling of 12 different boutique bites that included items like crispy sweet potato boats with sustainable scallop ceviche and cilantro blossom, sriracha lime shrimp with carrot radish slaw on a petite steamed bun, and mini mac ‘n’ cheese balls with wild caught lobster and aged gruyere. There was also a selection of mini cocktails that featured local liquors such as Green Hat Gin and One Eight Distilling. Three desserts were serve that included a baklava bread pudding, mini Belgian waffles topped with bananas foster or Greek yogurt cheesecake, and a selection of mini eclairs from g’eclairs.”
