We love all of our clients, but working with plant based companies and supporting them with plant powered PR has a special place in our heart. As animal welfare advocates who support organizations such as the Humane Rescue Alliance and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, we are proud to promote cruelty-free, vegan companies that eschew animal products.
Our newest plant-based client is VEDGEco, the first nationwide 100% plant-based foods wholesale company. VEDGEco offers a wide selection of well-known and hard-to-find plant-based brands including ForA: Butter, a Michelin chef recommended butter alternative; Impossible Burgers; The BE-Hive plant-based meats and cheeses; JUST Egg; Tofurky; Alpha Foods; and more.
VEDGEco products are sold in bulk sizes and at wholesale prices to serve the independent restaurant and food industry, as well as consumers. Recent media coverage includes this article in VegNews about their new 1,000 plant-based box giveaway for independent restaurants.
Plant-based PR Experience
Our work with plant-based companies goes back to 2014 when we were hired to oversee PR for DC VegFest, the largest plant based festival on the East Coast. For three years, we garnered top-tier media coverage for DC VegFest including radio, TV, print and web coverage in all of DC’s top media outlets.
We also put Equinox Restaurant’s plant based offerings in the media spotlight both locally and nationally and achieved greater awareness for Soupergirl, a beloved vegan soup company. In 2019, we helped with the launch of HipCityVeg’s second DC location and highlighted the powerful activist efforts of TryVeg. We’ve also had the pleasure of managing PR and influencer engagement for the 2nd annual Plant Based World Conference and Expo, which will be held in 2021.
We keep ahead of the latest plant based food and lifestyle news and trends and have outstanding relationships with the media outlets that cover these topics as well as mainstream media outlets that are increasingly covering plant based companies. Our vegan clients have garnered coverage in the the following outlets:
- The Washington Post
- Live Kindly
- Plantbased News
- National Geographic
- Paste Magazine
- Our Hen House
- Voice of America
- Vegan News
- USA Today
- and many others.
Vegan companies are good for our health, the planet, and animal welfare, and working with plant based companies is aligned with our commitment to the environment and sustainability. Plant-based companies offer cruelty free options that are changing the way we eat and live!
